Shri Kiran Kumar K, IPS, has officially assumed charge as the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Gomati District, bringing with him a wave of optimism and expectations for enhanced law enforcement and public safety.

A highly competent and experienced IPS officer, Shri Kiran Kumar has previously served in various key positions across the state, earning a reputation for his integrity, sharp administrative acumen, and people-centric policing approach.

Upon taking charge, he stated:

“My primary goal is to ensure that every citizen of Gomati district feels safe and protected. We will work relentlessly to uphold law and order, combat drug-related and other criminal activities, and provide responsive and compassionate policing.”

Local officials, administrative staff, and law enforcement personnel extended a warm welcome to the new SP. Residents of Gomati also expressed hope that his appointment would mark a positive shift in public safety and crime prevention in the district.

Given the district’s sensitivity, particularly in border areas where smuggling and narcotics trafficking have posed challenges in recent times, strong and strategic leadership was the need of the hour. The appointment of Shri Kiran Kumar K. is expected to fill this gap effectively.

The police department, under his leadership, is expected to intensify efforts against organized crime, strengthen community policing, and reinforce coordination with other law enforcement agencies.

His arrival has sparked renewed confidence in the administration’s commitment to building a safer and more disciplined Gomati.
