Independent Correspondent | New Delhi 17 July:
After recent remarks from senior RSS leaders hinting at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s possible retirement in the near future, the Congress party has seized the opportunity to deliver a sharp political jab. In a bold statement, Congress leaders said, “If Modi is indeed stepping down, the BJP should appoint a Dalit leader as the next Prime Minister.”
This statement is being seen as a strategic move to challenge the BJP on its social justice credentials and appeal to marginalized communities, especially ahead of the upcoming general elections.
Congress added that if the RSS and BJP are serious about change and inclusive leadership, this is the perfect time to set an example by elevating a leader from the Dalit community to the highest office in the country.
While the BJP has not officially responded to the comments, political observers suggest that this could spark a new round of debate within the ruling party about succession and leadership dynamics post-Modi.
The remarks have stirred discussions across political circles, adding a fresh twist to the ongoing discourse on the future of BJP’s top leadership.
