Udaipur Correspondent, Amir Hossain, July 18:
In a significant move to strengthen the livestock sector and support the agro-based economy of Gomati district, the Animal Resources Development Department of the State Government inaugurated the newly constructed permanent building of the District Veterinary Hospital today at Brahmabari, Udaipur.
The grand inauguration ceremony was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Minister Shri Pranajit Singha Roy as the chief guest. Also present on the occasion were Minister Sudhangshu Das, MLA of Bagbasa constituency Shri Ram Pada Jamatia, and MLA of Matabari constituency Shri Abhishek Debroy, along with senior officials and staff of the Animal Resources Development Department.
Speaking at the event, the ministers expressed that the new veterinary hospital would play a pivotal role in providing proper medical care, vaccination, disease prevention, and overall well-being for thousands of domestic animals across Gomati district. “This hospital will not only benefit the animals but also secure the livelihood of livestock owners,” they remarked.
Equipped with modern facilities, the hospital will serve as a full-fledged veterinary care center offering treatment, surgery, consultation, and health services by skilled veterinary doctors and animal health assistants. It is expected to help control animal diseases and positively impact milk, meat, and egg production.
With this initiative, the Animal Resources Development Department has opened a major support system for farmers and livestock rearers in the district. For many rural families who depend on rearing cattle, goats, poultry, and ducks for their livelihood, this hospital promises to be a dependable institution.
After the inauguration, the dignitaries toured the facility and praised the quality of construction. The state government’s initiative was widely appreciated, with a collective hope that similar projects would be undertaken in other parts of the district in the future.
